Component B in Domain 4 of the Danielson Framework is about record-keeping. Teachers must be diligent about maintaining and updating student records, which include grades, measurements of progress, and homework that is not yet graded, as well as other information relevant to instruction. Furthermore, they must keep records for activities and correspondence outside of instruction, such as permission slips, concerns from parents, and additional paperwork. Records can be electronic or written, depending on the situation. Distinguished teachers show professionalism by keeping records organized and easy to retrieve when needed.
