To establish a culture for learning within the classroom, the teacher must clearly indicate the value of what their students are learning. Students must be able to see how they can use what they learn in their daily lives. In a culture of learning, students are intrinsically motivated. Their effort is not directed merely toward getting high grades or other extrinsic rewards, but toward self-betterment. When faced with a challenge, the students are not discouraged; instead, they rise to meet it. As a teacher, it is important to value learning and teach students the value of learning as well.
